Vijay Eswaran is the founder of the Kuala Lumpur-based QI group. He started this way back in 1998 and expanded its international reach to over twenty countries as he also invested in diversification. It is now a multinational conglomerate firm with diverse interests. The firm has investments in real estate, education, retail, and hospitality. According to his lengthy career, he can be termed as a philanthropist, entrepreneur, an author. So, where did it all start? Vijay acquired his Economics degree from the London School of Economics by working part-time jobs.

This gave him the appropriate funds to finance his tertiary education. In 1985, he went to the UK and advanced his skills via learning binary marketing. He earned a professional qualification from Chartered Institute of Management Accounts (CIMA). Vijay Eswaran immigrated to the U.S where he assumed various positions in the corporate world before he went back to Asia in the early ’90s. This is where he applied is direct selling skills and started a network that expanded into different regions including Africa, the Middle East, and South East Asia. His network has given many people who have acquired new skills hope in most of the world’s emerging markets.

Vijay Eswaran philanthropic efforts have led him to support the community by establishing the RHYTHM and Vijayartnam Foundations. These institutions aim at helping the disadvantaged members of the society in Asia, Africa and the Middle East whereby his company has the best network. His primary focus is on women empowerment, education, and youth development. He was recognized by Forbes in the annual list of Heroes in 2011 for his efforts in helping the community. This gave him a Lifetime achievement award because of his efforts in leading an independent think tank.
