Further on down the line, he earned an honorary doctorate from the University of Montreal, which is the main university of HEC Montreal. What happened next was a 14 year career at General Motors in Canada, his home country.

Mr. Chenevert revolutionized their GTF engine, putting it on the map as a heavy contender. They reduced the noise, fuel burn, and parts needs by huge percentages. One of the other huge accomplishments on his part was in the year long acquisition of Goodrich aerospace. It was for $18 billion dollars, the biggest acquisition in history.
